Just about done planning the item storage in the database. Before it was able to store the item but didn't allow items to be equipped easily. New way I am working out in my brain should work great, and also allow items to be placed in a player "bank" so you can transfer items between characters.
Repainted the skin texture for the body, adjusted the color / values of all the skin textures and brought them all into a more realistic level, instead of being super duper saturated.

Got it so you can edit eye color and lip color now. Yeah, I think the system works pretty good. Easy to add new features to it. Cleaning the code up and making it solid.
Now able to change characters skin color! w00t! The system I have in place I think is pretty good. It needs some tweaking and polish, but it works. Easy to extend it to the other customizable parts of the character.

Another view of the forest with vertex lighting. Worked a bit on it, but I am not going to spend much more time on it since this is only for testing purposes / figuring out baking workflow.
